Project Overview
We developed a TV advert to unveil the origin story of Fire Station Whisky, a label deeply rooted in the prestigious and historic setting of the London restaurant, Yaatra. Situated within the iconic walls of the Old Westminster Fire Station, the brand represents a unique intersection of heritage and modern innovation.
Our goal was to create a visual narrative that felt as complex and matured as the liquid itself, establishing a premium identity for a whisky born from a landmark London location.
The Brief
The aim was to tell a cross-cultural story that connected two distinct worlds: the rugged, traditional heritage of Scottish distillation and the vibrant, refined influence of Indian culinary arts.
The brief required a delicate balance, which needed to maintain a high-end, luxury tone while demonstrating how these two cultures don’t just sit side-by-side, but actually elevate one another. We were tasked with moving beyond a simple product reveal to explain the “why” behind the blend, showing how the heat and spice of Yaatra’s kitchen could find a perfect, harmonious partner in the smoke and oak of a premium Scotch.
Our Approach
To ground the brand in its physical home, we filmed on-location at Yaatra, capturing the atmosphere and architecture of the fire station turned fine-dining destination. To complement this footage, we integrated 3D animation to showcase the intricate bottle design and the narrative of the blend itself. This allowed us to visually represent the layered nature of the whisky.
The Outcome
The final film delivered a rich, textured brand narrative that has strengthened the whisky’s identity within the Hackstons portfolio. By combining the “sense of place” from the restaurant with the technical precision of 3D assets, we created a versatile piece of storytelling that works across digital platforms and investor presentations. It stands as an introduction to the brand, positioning Fire Station Whisky as a serious player in the premium spirits market.
